Epping Views Primary school needed a next level sensory solution where they could take their students. Classroom fidgets were not working for them and there was students with varying escalations in the classroom.
Ability Space was able to customise Large double room, including installing an acoustic divider wall, to create a controlled sensory room size.
I think in today’s day and age, all students have different needs in any school, it doesn’t matter what area you are working in. It doesn’t matter how big or small your school is, I defiantly think that every school would benefit from a sensory room because I could almost guarantee that a couple of students would use it, daily, weekly, to help their learning.

There was an increase need for a space to allow students to have quiet, loud, body pressure, focus etc.
They felt safe, they found a space/resource in there that catered to what their need was in the moment – spinning, in feral position in a beanbag, watching the lights and bead in the tubes etc.
– We have found many students are able to proactively use this space as a reset. After the required time we have been more successful at re-engaging the student in the classroom.
