Working with Ability Space was a very positive experience. Their team was easy to work with, flexible and highly collaborative throughout the design process. They provided many valuable ideas and worked closely with us to ensure the space reflected the specific needs of our students, resulting in a sensory room that is both purposeful and unique to our school community.

Maria

The team at Ability Space has always been eager to assist and listen to all our requests, making sure to address every need promptly. Not to mention, the response time has been fantastic, which is greatly appreciated.

The addition of a sliding glass door allows for natural light as well as visibility into and out of the Sensory Room. It sits nicely on the planned space and we will be able to landscape around it. The construction inside allows for a great variety of equipment for the sensory fit out. There is the ability to change equipment if the interest of students decreases. For example a swing can replace a hammock because the anchor points are universal.

It is a great space for students to re-regulate, work in small groups or simply have time out. A space that is dedicated to the sensory needs of our students is invaluable. It provides a specific area for our students to work on their self regulation skills so they can better engage in their learning experiences.

The whole process from expression of interest to installation was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and the after sale service has been great. Nigel has always been at the end of the phone if we needed him for anything.

What makes the Ability Space truly special is its multi-sensory richness. Whether through touch, sight, or movement, there is something to engage with in every direction, making it a dynamic and inclusive retreat for students who need a moment to reset.

Angela

I think in today’s day and age, all students have different needs in any school, it doesn’t matter what area you are working in. It doesn’t matter how big or small your school is, I defiantly think that every school would benefit from a sensory room because I could almost guarantee that a couple of students would use it, daily, weekly, to help their learning.

Denis – Principal

We are very much looking forward to working with Ability Space, in ensuring best outcomes for our students.
